DIRECTION TO SLEEP
The direction in which you sleep can sometimes influence your sleep quality and overall health. It plays a very important role in your well-being, and also helps in our spiritual growth.
Sleeping with your head facing north can cause your blood pressure to fluctuate, which can lead to heart problems.
The magnetic pull of the north can cause iron to accumulate in your brain, which can lead to headaches.
Sleeping with your head facing north can increase stress.
Sleeping with your head facing north can cause tension, which can lead to headaches and other health problems, causing misery, frustration, crankiness, lack of emotional stability, diminished willpower, and/or physical ailments.
In Feng Shui, it is often recommended to sleep with your head towards the south for best health and energy. The idea behind it is that aligning yourself with the magnetic and cosmic energies can lead to your well-being and self-improvement. According to Ayurveda and the Modern sciences when we sleep with our head towards the north it harms us and acts as slow poison. The earth has an electromagnetic field which is always very strong towards the poles, the north as well as the South.

Meaning: One should not sleep with their head/face towards the north, as it causes breath (prana)to be obstructed.
When we sleep with our head in the north, it badly affects us. Because our body constitutes of iron, sleeping in the North affects our heart and brain functions.
Actually it also obstructs the flow of our prana because energy naturally flows from the north to the south। Therefore whenever you go to sleep, position your head in the South, west, or east.
According to Indian Vastu Shastra, the best direction to sleep is south, with your head facing south and your feet facing north. This way you align with the Earth’s magnetic field and promote positive energies. Some researches suggest that sleeping in the south can improve your sleep quality and lower your blood pressure if high.
At times some people that sleeping west is ideal for those who are success-driven, but others say it’s a neutral position or brings in disturbing dreams. So check your room’s layout, without fail, and do check in which direction you lay your head and sleep! Change your sleeping position from the north immediately, ASAP.
